bad holidays are made of these...

just got back from a 3d/2n redang trip. how wrong can it get? plus we booked ourselves (by that, i mean kid, p.t., m.l. and myself) into berjaya redang beach resort (BRBR), one of the best in redang isle itself. should be a easy, relaxing trip, considering that we paid hell lot of $$$ for
it. but no....all the 3rd parties involved have to screw things up for us.

- dates booked wrongly by the travel agents
- under booked us for seats on the coach (almost had to seat on the steps)
- no one directed us to the ferry terminal (luckily the group had a seasoned traveller in me)
- thieves and cheapskate people around in a 4 star resort
- broken down coach
- rude holiday makers

Yes. these are all things that happened to us. on a simple 3days 2 nights trip. how suay can we get. do not ever stay in berjaya redang beach resort if you wanna enjoy your holiday. imagine this, a seasoned traveller who travelled to many resorts in SEA, yet its only on BRBR that i experienced the ugly side of human nature. thieves. the lowest of mankind who prey on other people's belongings. may the thief who took my 2x quiksilver boardshorts and 1x daihu rashguard developed a thousand diesease on his/her body, let his/her privates rot and drop off and get scarred for life. !$@#%*&%^

so far, a good year for me!

yes. i think 2006 is steve's year. very heng this year so far.

- lost and found phone
- lost and found wallet

yes that's right. super careless but super luckly.

left my phone behind in a restaurant sometime back. Cafe Cartel - cineleisure to be exact. did not realise it until 20-30 mins later. sweat man..i mean really sweat cos my razor v3 is fairly new...if lost i can go and jump liao. went back to C.C and the excellent staff there actually kept it in their lost and found for me!!! kam sia..koduos to the staff there.

yesterday. took train to town to wait for m.l. had to change trains and the smartass me dropped my wallet when getting off the train. didn't realise until the i walked to the east-west line. walked briskly (ok ok.. i ran) to the control station begging the staff to help me notify the other stations about it. waited for 20 mins no reply. had to beg the station manager to let me out at plaza sing. very malu.

went to the toilet to shit and drown myself in it at the same time. how to go layang layang without my credit card????? just before i put my head in the toilet bowl, phone rang...."ring ring ring" strange number. "hullo?" heng ah.... station manager picked up my wallet and brought to little india. phew!!! nice man.

hmmm...maybe this is realli my year???

p.s. nxt wk off to Layang Layang. I vouch that i will be faithful. Else may the sharks tear off my limbs and let me drown. like dat can or not huh, dar?

happy days

these days im happy, contented and satisfied. (not quite on the satisfied part in my job with my pay still below market but that's another story) after a long while, finally managed to find someone whom i can have fun, complain and be myself with. its weird that things happened this quickly but i really enjoy every minute that ive spend with her.

mingli. i like the things you do to make me laugh. i like the way u smile, laugh and irritates me. most of all, i like each time when we took bus rides and held hands. and thank you for being so wonderful to me!

wishing all a happy lunar new year!!! may everyone get fatter bonuses, bigger pay increments and loftier promotions!!!! this year, i wish for 3 things. a successful career (more bonus, more increments, more biz trips!!!), good health for everyone and finally a strong relationship with m.l.

"boringly" loyal

recently discovered a newly virus that affects mid 20s young men. experts (some colleagues and myself included) have categorized this Cat A influenza-like virus under the human influenza strain. although the disease is currently non-fatal to human, there's currently no cure in the form of little blue, tamiflu-like tablets. experts have warned that if unchecked, the virus, commonly known as "boringly loyal" may evolved into a deadlier strain.

many in the sampled population are diagnosed with "boringly loyal" but seems unaware as to how they may have contracted it. Our interviews unvealed some common symptoms among all carriers:

- going to the same restaurants/kopitiams/diners and have the same food. everytime.
(e.g. its always big mac at maccas)
- think of the best/worst possible scenario for a situation, everytime.
- drinking the same breverage. everytime.
- rotating around the same few meeting places. every f#$@ing time.


our experts believe that if carriers can break away from their "everytime" symptom, its possible for them to keep "boringly loyal" dormant. maybe try drink different breverage once in a while. or sleep on your belly for a few days. or simply put, be different!!

rainy bali

5 days in a row, bali rained like nobody's business.
the weather realli reflects our mood.

we had small talks during the day, much deeper converstations at night.
we asked questions about ourselves, the meaning of love and relationships.
sad thing is, the more i questioned, the more i realised my lack of
experience in this matter.

need to stop being childish n grow up. fast.

the elusive tickets!

brunei. a place where there are more trees than people. a place where alcohol was banned and clubs were non-existence. a place where i spend my past 5 days in.

it was so boring that i spend my free time surfing the net and trying to get my hands on a pair of the 3 million FREE airasia tickets they were giving away. i honestly believe that its a gimmick. i tried like for 4 days in a row. morning, noon, evening and even in the wee hours of 2, 3, 4, 5am. but never was i successful to secure those elusive tickets.

it was not until today noon that i managed to secure something. yes! i got FREE flights for 2 from JBH to KK!! though i need to pay for the return, im not complaining. woot! on top of that, i spunged 1.6k for a week long diving at a place i always wanted. coral atoll, middle of nowhere, hopefully schooling hammerheads, yes boys and girls, your fren me, is going to LAYANG LAYANG!!!! woot!!!!!

twice in a wk! but im not complaining!

1920hrs. location. changi airport terminal two. im off again after 3 days in singapore. destination this time...sydney australia. will update this space when im back.
